The days are noticeably colder recently. I've had gloves in my pocket for a week or so, today was chilly enough to wear them.
Early yesterday morning I headed into the garden to take some photographs. The sun was low, just peeking over the back of the house. Much of the garden was still in shadow and the long grass glistened, crispy underfoot.
Still this garden is not familiar. It seems every time I venture out there I discover something I didn't notice the last time. I wandered up and down taking in all of the little details. There was plenty of birdsong, but otherwise it was silent and so very peaceful.
I gathered a handful of cuttings... a rosehip, lavender, seed heads and roses to arrange into a simple posy for the living room. You can find more photographs of the posy I made in yesterday's post, here.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment today - it made me think and I replied in the comment thread. I think talented makers like you who produce beautiful, well priced and individual pieces are a MILLION miles away from the pushy ads and high street frenzy. I love your work and hope you have masses of orders as you deserve to be very successful. x

DeleteThat's so kind of you to say Gillian, thank you so much!! I've been working on Christmas products for a couple of months but don't want to mention it too early as I agree, the frenzy of Christmas (which seems to start earlier every year) is just too much! x
